Summer Wedding Had Been Planned<\/span><\/p>\n

\"L.A.\"Luke Perry<\/strong><\/a> and his fiancee, Wendy Madison Bauer<\/strong>, were planning on getting married later this year before his shocking death \u2014 this according to their \u201csave the date\u201d cards.<\/p>\n

TMZ obtained one of their \u201csave the dates,\u201d and it forecast a late summer wedding in L.A. It looks like Luke and Wendy planned to get hitched August 17. The card doesn\u2019t get into more specific detail, but it does say a formal invite would follow.<\/p>\n

BTW \u2026 the \u201csave the date\u201d card was elegantly designed, featuring a grey and gold color scheme as well as a Naive Inline-type font. Very Gatsby-esque.<\/p>\n

Wendy broke her silence over the weekend, expressing gratitude for the outpouring of love and support<\/strong><\/a> she\u2019s received in the wake of Luke\u2019s passing earlier this month.<\/p>\n

We broke the story \u2026 Luke died in the hospital<\/strong><\/a> a few days after suffering a massive stroke<\/a><\/strong> at his Southern California home. Doctors sedated him, hoping he\u2019d recover, but he never did.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Regarding Luke himself, Wendy said, \u201cThe past 11\u00bd years with Luke were the happiest years of my life, and I am grateful to have had that time with him,\u201d she continues, \u201cI also want to thank his children, family, and friends for their love and support. We have found comfort in one another and in the knowledge that our lives were touched by an extraordinary man. He will be dearly missed.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear when exactly Luke and Wendy got engaged, but what is clear is that they were aiming to make things official very soon.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
