Jed Allan Dead at 84<\/span><\/p>\n

Jed Allan<\/strong> \u2014 another member of the \u201cBeverly Hills, 90210\u201d family and a soap opera legend \u2014 has died, according to his son.<\/p>\n

Rick Brown<\/strong> posted the sad news on Jed Allan\u2019s official Facebook fan page Saturday, saying Jed passed away peacefully while surrounded by family. He added, \u201cThank you for all who are part of this wonderful tribute to my dad on Facebook.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jed played Rush Sanders on \u201890210\u2019 \u2014 the father of Ian Ziering\u2019s Steve Sanders. Ian posted a tribute to Jed Sunday, saying, \u201cSo sad to hear we\u2019ve lost another 90210 castmate. I had the pleasure of working with Jed Allan from 94 to 99. He played Rush Sanders, Steve\u2019s father. Such a great guy to work with, he will be missed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jed was perhaps more known for his roles on soaps like \u201cDays of Our Lives,\u201d in which he played Don Craig, as well as the TV series \u201cSanta Barbara,\u201d where he played C.C. Capwell. He had a very prolific career spanning 6 decades, having appeared on shows like \u201cLassie,\u201d \u201cColumbo,\u201d \u201cAdam-12,\u201d \u201cLove, American Style,\u201d \u201cCHiPs\u201d and many, many others.<\/p>\n

Jed had 64 acting credits to his name.<\/p>\n

Of course, his death comes less than a week after Luke Perry<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s tragic passing. TMZ broke the story \u2026 Perry died Monday<\/strong><\/a> after suffering a massive stroke<\/strong><\/a> the week prior. Doctors sedated him hoping he\u2019d recover, but he never did.<\/p>\n

Jed is survived by his three sons from his marriage to Toby Brown<\/strong>, who died in 2001. No doubt, a very tough week in TV.<\/p>\n
