Skin color controversy be damned, Steve Harvey<\/strong><\/a> thinks Will Smith<\/strong><\/a> would be the PERFECT guy to play Serena Williams<\/strong><\/a>\u2018 dad on the big screen.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a new movie being shopped around about Richard Williams<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 Serena and Venus<\/strong><\/a>\u2018 father \u2014 and it appears Will Smith is the #1 choice to play the #1 dad.<\/p>\n

But, there\u2019s been a major backlash from people who say Will\u2019s complexion is too LIGHT to match the real Richard \u2026 and critics are already calling for potential producers to find a more dark-skinned actor.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"extraSteve Harvey doesn\u2019t see it that way \u2026 telling TMZ Sports<\/strong> the beloved entertainer can do no wrong.<\/p>\n

\u201cHell yeah, Will Smith is a good choice for everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Smith hasn\u2019t officially signed on to the project or even commented about it publicly. The project is only in the \u201cspec script\u201d stage.<\/p>\n

However, there\u2019s been a push on social media for other actors to get the lead role \u2014 suggested names have included\u00a0Don Cheadle<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Forest Whitaker<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and even\u00a0Usher<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

We asked what Harvey thought about the latter \u2026 and it\u2019s safe to say he ain\u2019t buyin\u2019 it.<\/p>\n

As for the biopic \u2026 Deadline reports its working title<\/strong><\/a> is \u201cKing Richard\u201d and will tell the story of how the world\u2019s most famous tennis parent raised the 2 sisters from the streets of Compton to international tennis superstardom, despite Richard having no real tennis experience of his own.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Venus and Serena both went on to become the #1 ranked tennis players in the world \u2026 sitting #1 and #2 on the all-time women\u2019s tennis career earnings list.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
