Luke Perry<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0\u2014 the TV icon and heartthrob who rose to fame on \u201cBeverly Hills, 90210\u201d \u2014 has died after suffering a massive stroke \u2026 TMZ has learned.\u00a0<\/p>\n Luke passed away Monday morning at St. Joseph\u2019s Hospital in Burbank. According to his rep, Luke was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiance Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends.<\/p>\n As we first reported, he was rushed to the hospital last Wednesday morning after suffering the stroke<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0while at his Sherman Oaks, CA home. According to the emergency dispatch audio \u2014 obtained by TMZ \u2014 paramedics received a call for a stroke at the residence. We\u2019re told when EMTs arrived, he was responsive and talking \u2026 but his condition deteriorated.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n His reps said doctors had sedated Luke, hoping to give his brain a fighting chance to recover from the trauma of the stroke \u2026 but apparently, the damage was too extensive.\u00a0<\/p>\n Born in Mansfield, Ohio \u2026 Luke had a prolific acting career on TV and in movies \u2014 getting his start in the early \u201980s \u2014 and became a household name on \u201890210.\u2019 After that, his career exploded. He also had prominent roles on shows like \u201cAnother World,\u201d \u201cOz,\u201d \u201cJeremiah,\u201d \u201cWindfall,\u201d \u201cJohn from Cincinnati,\u201d and \u201cBody of Proof.\u201d<\/p>\n A reboot of \u201890210\u2019<\/strong><\/a> was just announced on Wednesday with the bulk of the original cast, but Luke had not signed on to be a regular on the series. We\u2019re told he was down to do a few guest spots, but couldn\u2019t commit to more than that due to his \u201cRiverdale\u201d schedule.
