the lawsuit over their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/person\/notorious-b-i-g\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Notorious B.I.G.<\/strong><\/a>-themed jerseys \u2026 \u2019cause the team\u2019s rockin\u2019 the threads on Friday, despite Coogi taking legal action.<\/p>\n<p>We broke the story \u2026 Biggie\u2019s favorite sweater brand claims no one from the team or the NBA or Nike ever got permission to use the iconic pattern \u2026 and called for the league to stop selling the \u201cBrooklyn Camo\u201d jerseys.<\/p>\n<p>The Nets don\u2019t seem to care one bit \u2026 announcing the team will be honoring the rap legend in the special jerseys when they take the court Friday against the Charlotte Hornets.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned=\"\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Bud8MCzhF2a\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_medium=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"12\" style=\"background: #FFF;border: 0;margin: 1px;max-width: 540px;min-width: 326px;padding: 0\"><\/blockquote>\n<p>Coogi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2019\/02\/27\/brooklyn-nets-accused-of-jacking-coogi-design-for-biggie-tribute\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>claims they have copyrights<\/strong><\/a> for their most famous designs \u2014 called \u201cPea Soup\u201d and \u201cRicotta\u201d \u2014 and they feel the Nets straight swiped their swag.<\/p>\n<p>A rep for the NBA told the New York Times, \u201cThere is no merit whatsoever to their claims.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Of course, jersey selections can be made months in advance \u2014 especially for certain tribute nights \u2026 but the decision to stick with the Biggie alternates proves the Nets ain\u2019t sweatin\u2019 a legal battle with Coogi.<\/p>\n<p><img
