\"Atlanta\"R. Kelly<\/strong><\/a> could soon come face-to-face with the family of one his alleged \u201csex slaves\u201d at Chicago\u2019s Trump Tower \u2014 but only if they can get a posse of law enforcement to watch their backs.<\/p>\n

Gerald Griggs<\/strong> \u2014 an attorney who reps Joycelyn Savage<\/strong>\u2018s family \u2014 tells TMZ he and the family are actively working with prosecutors in Illinois to conduct a new welfare check on Joycelyn at Kelly\u2019s Trump Tower pad.<\/p>\n

Griggs says the Savages believe Joycelyn is living there, too, along with\u00a0Azriel Clary<\/strong><\/a>. Both women were at R. Kelly\u2019s court hearing<\/strong><\/a> over the weekend, supporting him.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"AzrielGriggs says Chicago PD conducted a welfare check<\/strong><\/a> in January, but he doesn\u2019t trust they did a thorough job. He says the fam wants one done when they can be there to witness it.<\/p>\n

The Savages ultimate goal hasn\u2019t changed \u2014 they\u2019re hoping they can somehow get through to Joycelyn<\/strong><\/a> and convince her to leave Kelly.<\/p>\n

However, they\u2019re also afraid for their own safety, because they say R. Kelly\u2019s\u00a0associates have threatened<\/strong><\/a> them. For that reason, Griggs says they\u2019re requesting assistance from the Cook County State\u2019s Attorney\u2019s Office. Basically, they want backup as protection from Kelly\u2019s people.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear if Cook County will oblige. We\u2019ve got a call in, but no word back yet.<\/p>\n

As for R. Kelly, his attorney, Steven Greenberg<\/strong>, tells us \u2026 \u201cPolice in Chicago and Atlanta have both done wellness checks. Plus she has been in court. Now this attorney is a psychiatrist. Gimme a break.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
