\"artist\"Mystikal<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s getting a taste of freedom \u2026 after spending 18 months behind bars on rape charges, he\u2019s finally posted a very hefty bond \u2026 TMZ has learned.<\/p>\n

Mystikal\u2019s attorneys tell us the rapper was able to scrape together $3 million for the bond \u2026 securing his release from a Louisiana prison. We\u2019re told the money came from an advance for a new recording deal, and funds raised by Mystikal\u2019s family and friend.<\/p>\n

TMZ broke the story \u2026 Mystikal \u2014 real name Michael Tyler \u2014 was ironing out the final details<\/strong><\/a> last month. He\u2019d been\u00a0behind bars since August 2017 when he was booked for first-degree rape<\/strong><\/a> and second-degree kidnapping.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"Joel<\/p>\n

Mystikal\u2019s attorney, Tim Yazbeck, tells TMZ \u2026 \u201cIt\u2019s been a long time coming for Mike, but now he can get back to being the artist he is, doing what he loves, and seeing his kids again.\u201d<\/p>\n

The rapper\u2019s now free until his pending trial in May.<\/p>\n

Mystikal\u2019s other legal eagle, Joel Pearce, tells TMZ \u2026 they\u2019re confident in their case. Pearce said, \u201cBased on all of the evidence we have, we strongly believe that an amicable resolution is not only possible but probable as an outcome in this case and that Michael Tyler will never be made to return to jail for a crime he didn\u2019t commit.\u201d<\/p>\n
