Nelly<\/span><\/p>\n Not Running from Sexual Assault Case<\/span><\/p>\n \u2026 Meets with Cops in UK<\/span><\/p>\n 1\/25\/2019 12:40 AM PST<\/p>\n EXCLUSIVE<\/span><\/p>\n Law enforcement sources tell us the St. Louis rapper was interviewed last week by the Essex Police at their Southend station, where they\u2019ve opened a criminal probe into an alleged sexual assault from 2017 \u2026 when Nelly performed in the area.\u00a0<\/p>\n We\u2019re told Nelly flew out to meet with cops\u00a0 \u2014 without being asked \u2014\u00a0 and we\u2019re told his participation is a major step forward in the investigation \u2026 but not necessarily the deciding factor. It might be a while before a decision is made on whether to charge him.<\/p>\n Nelly was never detained at the police station. A rep for the rapper tells TMZ \u2026 \u201cNelly flew to the UK on his own volition last week to work with the police in assisting their investigation to clear his name completely.\u201d<\/p>\n As we\u2019ve reported \u2026 Nelly\u2019s been accused of masturbating in front of a woman and forcing his penis<\/strong><\/a> in her mouth after a meet and greet in December 2017. She says she was able to flee and didn\u2019t immediately go to cops out of fear of not being believed.<\/p>\n Nelly \u2014 who\u2019s denied the latest allegation \u2014 is being sued<\/strong><\/a> for the same alleged incident.
