So if you don\u2019t see your location, click the \u201cMy region is not here\u201d tab to fill out a quick from to be notified when Flex becomes available in your area.<\/p>\n By the way, if you want to work for Amazon no matter where you live, you can apply as a Customer Service Associate and work for Amazon from home<\/a>.<\/p>\n You need a car, an Android phone, and to be a licensed driver of 21 or older.<\/p>\n Amazon will provide you with the Flex app for your phone.<\/p>\n Amazon doesn\u2019t allow you to walk or bike for deliveries.<\/p>\n There will also be a background check \u2013 obviously Amazon doesn\u2019t want drivers who may make off with the parcels!<\/p>\n Well, it is simple but you do have to follow some rules.<\/p>\n For instance, you can\u2019t pick the exact area you want to deliver in within the metro areas available, you have to go where they tell you.<\/p>\n You pick up the items for delivery at a location near you and take them anywhere within a local radius.<\/p>\n You can sign up to deliver in 2, 4, or 8 hour blocks of time if they\u2019re available on a particular day, and book your availability for up to 12 hours on any day in the future.<\/p>\n You can work seven days a week. So it\u2019s fairly flexible, but obviously, you have to be reliable once you say you are available.<\/p>\n Amazon Flex driver pay<\/a> varies.<\/p>\n Amazon is offering $18 \u2013 $25 per hour, and it seems that the average driver is making at least that with the services that are currently running.<\/p>\n You will deliver ultra-fast Prime Now orders which Amazon delivers in one or two hours, and in the future may deliver parcels.<\/p>\n You can\u2019t generally specify what sort of things you will deliver.<\/p>\n This looks like a great gig to get in on.<\/p>\n The only cloud that is really hanging over it is the same one that is hanging over Uber, and that is that as an independent contractor, you don\u2019t get any benefits or healthcare.<\/p>\n This may not be an issue for you, as the pay is good and you can have as flexible a schedule as you wish. Plus, most people who sign up for Flex probably have a full time job and are looking at delivering Amazon packages as a side hustle<\/a>.<\/p>\n This makes no difference to your day-to-day deliveries, but I expect Amazon Flex to follow on whatever legal decisions are made for Uber drivers.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re in another major metro area, you should certainly go on the waiting list.
