Here are 10 of the most influential artists to look out for that will be making waves throughout 2009:<\/p>\n<p><b><u>1. Chipmunk<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>With his \u201cChip Diddy Chip\u201d single making the A-list playlists on major radio stations such as BBC Radio 1 and KISS FM, Chipmunk is now in the middle of a record label bidding war. Look out for his \u201cI Am Chipmunk\u201d album coming this year.<\/p>\n<p><b><u>2. Tinchy Stryder<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>After recently signing a record deal with Universal, Tinchy Stryder has hit the no.3 spot in the UK charts with his \u201cTake Me Back\u201d single, which features r&amp;b singer Taio Cruz. The single has received major support from all major radio stations and music TV channels.<\/p>\n<p><b><u>3. Bashy<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>With 2008\u2019s smashes such as \u201cBlack Boys\u201d and the movie soundtrack lead single \u201cKidulthood to Adulthood\u201d, Bashy has caught the attention of many including Prime Minister Gordon Brown as he\u2019s recently spent time working on a positive project at 10 Downing Street with the Prime Minister. Look out for his \u201cCatch Me if you Can\u201d album this year.<\/p>\n<p><b><u>4. Wiley<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>With 2 hit singles in 2008, one of them (Wearing My Rolex) hit the no.2 spot in the UK charts. The self-proclaimed \u201cKing of Grime\u201d has made the decision to release more commercially-accepting music this year, as well as releasing his eagerly anticipated \u201cRace Against Time\u201d album. Look out for Wiley\u2019s \u201cShe Glows\u201d music video which features fellow grime mc\u2019s Kano and Ghetts.<\/p>\n<p><b><u>5. Ghetts<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Recently signing a single deal for \u201cSing For Me\u201d, this is Ghetts first ever commercial release as well as his first single using his new name, which was previously \u201cGhetto\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><b><u>6. Sway<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>After winning the \u201cBest UK Hip-Hop Act\u201d award at the 2006 BET Awards, then releasing his \u201cThe Signature LP\u201d album in 2008, Sway has since signed a U.S record deal with Akon\u2019s \u201cKon Live\u201d record label and released the \u201cSilver and Gold\u201d single, which features Akon.<\/p>\n<p><b><u>7. N-Dubz<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>This hip-hop\/r&amp;b trio (Tulisa, Dappy &amp; Fazer) have recently gone platinum in the UK with their \u201cUncle B\u201d album. With recent hits like \u201cPapa\u201d and \u201cStrong Again\u201d gaining mainstream support from all major radio stations, you can expect more hits from the consistently-strong N-Dubz in 2009.<\/p>\n<p><b><u>8. Giggs<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Since putting out the biggest freestyle in UK hip-hop\u2019s history, Peckham rapper Giggs proved that his \u201cTalking the Hardest\u201d track was big enough to release an album on the back of; and his \u201cWalk in the Park\u201d album quickly sold out in its first week of nationwide release. Soon after, Giggs won the \u201cBest UK hip-hop artist\u201d award at BET\u2019s 2006 music wards in atlanta. Recently teaming up with one of the UK\u2019s most successful r&amp;b artists of all time, Shola Ama, expect big things from Giggs in 2009.<\/p>\n<p><b><u>9. Skepta<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>After touring the UK and Europe with both JME and Wiley, then releasing \u201cRolex Sweep\u201d in 2008, the \u201cBoy Better Know\u201d frontman started 2009 by releasing the electro-hit \u201cSunglasses at Night\u201d. Skepta is now releasing house and electro-inspired music commercially as opposed to grime, so a chart-topper may well be on the radar.<\/p>\n<p><b><u>10.
