Facebook Social Marketing Strategies – Strategy That Works and a Strategy That Doesn’t
Social media is so new and growing at such a rapid rate that it’s hard to keep up. I imagine that soon you will see an abundance of books published about Facebook social marketing strategies and how to use them for your network marketing company.
If you are a home business junkie like many, you probably want to utilize the social opportunity for lead generation. Many leaders do want to make a living from some type of online media. Let me give you two different strategies:
o The advertising strategy- This is when someone joins a social media like Facebook and posts ads and constantly makes approaches on prospects. You will notice this when you go to a persons profile and find their product plastered everywhere. There status bar says things like “just got out of my (name company) meeting and boy is it a great opportunity… jump on board!” This strategy rarely works and is downright annoying to many.
A better way is as follows.
o Leading with value strategy- This is where you have the opportunity to learn much about the person you’ve befriended. They may represent a company but it’s very subtle. The first thing you see on their profile isn’t “I love making people successful and showing them a better way to make a paycheck”. You see things that ad value to their friends and at the same time allow people to “know, trust, and like you”. This is what I have found to Work From Home. If they post a link it’s done in a way where some value is added to that person.
There is some debate about the etiquette with different Facebook social marketing strategies but one thing is certain, you can never go wrong when you have a genuine message and you provide people with some kind of value. Both strategies are being used but one works better than the other!
