There are many people using social media websites in Pakistan. Some of the most prominent social media websites include Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, YouTube, and many others. The most prominent users of such websites are the youth of Pakistan.

Businesses in Pakistan have been marketing their products, brands and businesses using social media but still the industry has to come out. There are number of brands that have used such websites to promote their brands but still the results of such marketing tool in Pakistan are yet to achieve. Though, our neighboring country India has been using these websites as a marketing medium and they have been able to get positive results from using promotional campaigns.

Social media as used mostly by youth can be a very lucrative market to promote the brands especially those who are targeted at youth. With lesser cost of promotion even Pakistan companies can get good results using these websites and they can promote their brand not only within Pakistan but can also target different people across the world.

Many companies have their existence on social media websites in Pakistan like Student Biryani, Shan Masala, PTCL and many other but the problem is that they are not able to use this medium to great effect just like other companies are doing around the world.





One good example is of Pervez Musharraf who has been gaining popularity through social media and these businesses can take inspiration from ex-president of the country. Even he has not been in Pakistan for the last 2 years or so but he has been able to increase his fan following using different social media websites. So, if political leaders can use this medium to great effect, then why not Pakistani businesses. This is an important message for all the entrepreneurs, small business owners and also large companies to make the most out of social media websites and make more revenues and reach more customers not only in the country but customers from different parts of the world.
