New York City police shot an apparently emotionally disturbed woman after she allegedly stabbed two people in Times Square, police said.
The victims and suspect went to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The stabbings occurred at 42nd Street and Seventh Avenue. The woman allegedly then fled north toward the NYPD substation, where police confronted her, authorities said.
Police officials stressed the woman appears emotionally disturbed and the incident is not terror-related.
