Dozens injured as building crane collapses on passenger prepare in Thailand, authorities says





LONDON — A construction crane for a high-speed rail bridge collapsed onto a passenger train on Wednesday morning in Thailand, injuring more than 30 people, the government said.

“Train derailed and caught fire. 30+ passengers injured, many trapped in carriages,” the government said in a statement on social media. “Multiple rescue teams deployed.”

The crane collapsed at about 9:05 a.m. in Nakhon Ratchasima, a province in northeastern Thailand, according to the government.
