These cookies are basically a shortbread cookie with chopped pecans. They are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. One thing you will notice with this recipe is that we contribute granulated sugar when pulping them down. We choose this option instead of the traditional powdered sugar that is sprinkled on top. If you search closely at the images you can see a few of that version! I did a little taste test in our mansion but eventually the granulated carbohydrate copy won in the minds of my cute taste testers.

In classic Pecan Sandies, the dough is usually gone into a rounded enter appearance, then froze overnight. The chilled dough is then sliced into individual cookies, placed on a cookie sheet, scattered with confectioners carbohydrate and broiled. When I tested chilling the dough versus not chilling the dough, we didn’t smack a difference in the final cookie. So this form does not require any chilling!

How to Prepare Pecans

I acquired once chopped pecans from my local convenience store but you could also buy them entirety and chop them yourself. My favorite space to solidify Pecan Sandie’s batter is to scoop the dough projectiles and then place onto a baking sheet as close together as you can but make sure they don’t touch. Solidify for about 30 minutes and move to freezer bags.

If you want to freeze a cookie that has already been baked, really make sure they are stored in an airtight baggage or container.

Preheat oven to 375 degF. Line two cooking sheets with parchment paper.

Add egg and vanilla and outstrip until entirely incorporated, raking down sides of bowl as needed. Include the sifted flour, cooking gunpowder, and salt into a container and concoction until just combined. Whisk in pecans and make sure they are fully incorporated.
